Frequently
Asked Questions
and Other Concerns

If you have a
question or concern that is not addressed below, please contact me.
How
much do you charge?
The initial review is free. This
includes a 1 hour onsite visit where you show me around your
space and we discuss my fee structure. If you would like to
discuss this further, please call me.
Where are you located?
Just outside the Historic Village of
Saranac Lake,
NY.
Nestled in the
beautiful
Adirondack Mountains, we are central to
the Tri-Lakes region of Upstate New York.
What areas do you serve?
Servicing the
Adirondacks
and beyond. Distance
is not an issue
as we can arrange sessions via digital photos, email and
telephone. If you prefer on-site assistance, we can arrange
that as well. Travel expenses will apply. Please
contact me to discuss what would work best for you.
What are your credentials?
I have 20+ years of office supervision experience requiring
organizing skills. I
have helped friends and family organize
throughout my life. This
comes naturally to me and I
enjoy watching people find satisfaction in being organized.
I’ve decided to turn this passion into my career path.
My
knowledge in this field is enhanced daily through multiple avenues
of continuing education. I
am working toward my goal of becoming a Certified Professional
Organizer. I am a
current member of the National Association of Professional
Organizers (NAPO) and practice the principles noted in their code
of ethics. You may find them at www.napo.net
How do I know
you
can help me?
As a Professional Organizer I can approach your situation from an
objective angle. By
listening to the client describe the areas that overwhelm or
frustrate them, I can help find solutions that will work for that
individual. Our
initial review is a 1 hour onsite visit at no cost to you. This
time also allows us to determine whether we are a ‘fit’ for
each other. As long as
you are open to finding new ways that will work for you, I know I
can help you. Remember, if you do the same thing everyday, nothing
will change.
I am embarrassed to allow anyone into my home (or office).
Please don’t be. If
you don’t allow me to come in and assess the situation, then I
cannot help you.
I offer a non-judgemental
service and understand your personal fears.
There is always a solution to becoming organized.
In this fast paced world we live in, many people become
disorganized before they even realize it.
I can help you get organized and feel confident in your
surroundings again. I
will also share some tools with you to keep you on the right
track.
Will
you tell people that I am disorganized?
No.
First of all, I believe everyone can learn to be organized.
This does not mean you have to be a perfectionist.
It simply means you have to take control of the “stuff”
in your life. Second,
as mentioned above, I am a current member of
NAPO
and practice the principles noted in their code of ethics. You may
find them at www.napo.net.
